As the Senior Backend Engineer, you'll be at the heart of this mission, working with the Recover product team, which is the core revenue driver of our company. An overdue bill wasn't just a piece of paper; it was a symbol of the systemic challenges faced by many. Determined to change this narrative, Oliver, with the support of Steven Carlton, founded TrueML. Their goal? To humanize the debt collection process, ensuring every individual's journey to financial health is met with empathy and respect.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Significant software engineering experience in Go.
  • Expertise in distributed serverless (AWS lambda) architecture.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes or substantial experience with other container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS, GKE, etc).
  • Ability to lead technical architecture discussions and drive technical decisions.
  • Strong collaboration skills, especially with Product Management and stakeholder communication.
  • Intuition for great software and the capability to articulate it.
  • Commitment to writing high-quality, well-tested, and robust code.
  • Advocacy for well-tested code (experience with E2E/integration tests).

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK).
  • Software experience in Python & Scala.
  • Ability to mentor and uplift team members.
  • Interest in enhancing system reliability.
  • Experience with Datadog or other application performance monitoring tools.
